Dear Resident, Here is our weekly update from the Northfield Neighbourhood team. Our Priorities - Retail Crime & High Street Safety: Addressing shoplifting and antisocial behaviour on Northfield High Street through partnership with the Northfield Business Improvement District (BID)
- Targeting Drug Offences: Increasing patrols to address reports of drug use and dealing, with Operation Wayfarer focusing on disrupting these issues.
- Begging and Street Population: Addressing issues around street begging, drug use and anti social behaviour in public spaces.
- Crime Prevention & Youth Intervention: Focussing on reducing shop theft, providing early intervention and tackling organised crime in the Birmingham area
What’s been happening? - A community meeting has been conducted at CO-OP West Heath within the last week to provide crime prevention advice and to discuss concerns with local members of the community
- Patrols of Northfield Highstreet searching for shoplifting offenders and other persons of concern.
Good News Our Officers arrested 2 offenders this week, One for harassment and the other for 6 shoplifting offences.
